This dude probably made some great points somewhere in there, but I was busy doing something more useful than reading his post.  Namely, masturbating to these weird drawings of naked children or maybe asians with squid or some shit that I found on an internet.  Maybe you know the guy that drew it.

I majored in this major at this school where this photo is taken. I even thought I knew the guy but I think I’m wrong. Either way, fuck you. Sequential is a fucking intense, hard, tedious, under paid, under appreciated job area/major. Just because it’s not Painting, Photography, Graphic Art, etc. people at my school/around me don’t consider it an art.

You fucking buckle down at make 30 pages worth of comic art in a two month (a lot of times only one month) time period. That’s scripting, thumbnailing, penciling, inking, toning, lettering and making sure it’s ready for the presses and you get paid only $2.00 at most an hour for a 40+ hour work week. Then come tell me it’s not an art/useless.

It’s totally not an art/ is useless. I mean, I still don’t understand why people are saying Avengers/Iron Man/Spider Man/Captain America/Hulk/Green Lantern are so amazing because it is based on comics. Comics are dumb and stupid. /sarcasm

Granted, I’m no longer really doing comics at the moment. But want to know why? Because people don’t fucking take it seriously so there is no way you can make an honest living off of it straight out of school/starting off unless you are super fucking fantastic. [Not only that, I found it wasn’t my cup of tea. I enjoy Illustration more and just can’t do what amazing comic artists do.] A lot of Comic Artists have to get second jobs to survive. Not only that, the expected deadlines for the public that so fucking needs comics are outrageous. Get with the program people, it’s a fucking art and should be taken seriously. Comic artists should be taken seriously. Respect them and the insane work they do to entertain you.
